    Thermoplastic polyurethane elastomer, also known as thermoplastic polyurethane rubber (TPU), is a (AB) n block linear polymer, A is high molecular weight (1000~6000) polyester or polyether, B is a diol containing 2~12 chain carbon atoms, and the chemical structure of AB chain segments is diisocyanate.

    The synthesis methods of TPU can be classified into two types according to solvent: solvent free bulk polymerization and solvent solution polymerization. Bulk polymerization can be divided into one step method and prepolymer method according to reaction steps. One step is to mix oligomer diols, two isocyanate and chain extender simultaneously. The one-step process is simple and easy to operate, but the reaction heat is difficult to exclude and easy to produce side effects.
